A Question.

How do you get to be officially "good" at blogging? I certainly know that anyone who wishes to be an exceptional blogger should NOT follow my lead. I mean, I had a blog a few years ago then deleted it. Started one when I went to Paris (this one actually!), then fell off the bandwagon again.

Do you have to be an every day blogger? Because if that is the case I'm just not going to make it. I simply have nothing to talk about. Unless you want to hear about the Harry Potter Weekend special that's on ABC Family, I've got nothing. Nada. I
'm really curious. I want to make this work.

Oh right. I need to accomplish some things on my list. Then I could blog about it. It's ingenious, really.

But for now...HOW GOOD DO THESE LOOK?
These are carrot cake whoopie pies and they look DIVINE. I saw them on one of my favorite blogs, Abbey Goes Design Scouting! I'm going to make these. Then I'll have something to talk about. Now, back to Harry Potter.

Adding to the List.

So I have a few additions to the list for the summer that came up while I've been in Dothan. (This is what happens when you have to come up with things to fill up your day.)

My mother and I have been wanting to learn to sew or smock or something of that nature and decided to enroll in a smocking class (don't judge) so we will be able to make sweet baby gifts like her other friends do. Y'all, it is HARD. I have enjoyed it though! I've also ordered an embroidery kit so we'll see how that works out. I've come a long way from not knowing how to sew a button onto a shirt THREE weeks ago (again, don't judge.)

Another thing I have been thinking about is how much I like tennis. I've been playing tennis with my dad and realized that although I like tennis, I'm not very good at it. My serve is probably the worst of all time. I aim for the box and it actually lands on the other court's box when I hit. Progress, slowly but surely.

Lastly, I've talked to a few of my close friends who live in the same apartment complex that I do and we have all had a desire to hone our cooking skills. The problem? Cooking for one is not very satisfying OR cost effective. The solution? We're going to cook for each other one night a week and split the cost of the grocery bill. BRILLIANT!

In a nutshell, my added goals for the summer:

11. Smock a (baby's) gown and finish embroidering my tea towel.
12. Learn to effectively serve while playing tennis.
13. Cook a healthy meal for my friends and me once a week.

Am I overachieving here with this list? Maybe. We'll see what happens.
